Hatsuho Furukawa Piano Trio “Ending Is Beginning”
Formed in 2005, a new work knitted with all the original songs of the trio led by Hatsuho Furukawa, who has been active for 16 years. At the time of formation, he changed from a technician who colored the hard fusion sound until then, and appeared as an aesthetic acoustic “poet”, “I can finally realize the trio I wanted to do for many years,” he said after the first live. I listen to it while remembering what he said, but the afterimage with a thick outline, which is different from the recent trends such as lyrical and Japanese style, does not leave my mind even after I finish listening. Although it is simple, it is a sound that conveys “thickness” that can only be called “dark”. It’s one that tells us that there is no night that doesn’t dawn.<Eichi Tomizawa>
