Kunie Kai “Sun”

A new standard that relieves new daily stress

Unable to abandon the singer’s dream, she quit her job and jumped into the live house of Chanson in Kabukicho to practice.  Kunie Kai’s new work, which has been on her way even after passing the new vocal audition of Yoyogi Naru, responds to the request of “an album that I can lie down on the southern island and listen to”, and she want to do it until then.  In a sense, it’s the exact opposite of what I’ve been thinking about—what the people around me thought it was her greatest attraction—and I was able to bring out a slower, lighter, coquettish charm.  The contents are as follows.  Wisparing is not only technically demanding, but it also depends largely on the vocalist’s qualities, such as whether the voice quality when relaxed can be sounded properly, so it should not be a matter of tweeting.  It depends greatly on the balance and sense that one have to bring out the coolness unique to jazz while conveying the sweetness, the warmth, and the slight warmth.  In this work, overcoming these difficulties one after another, away from “singing like jazz”, priority is given to strongly and thickly connecting the feelings that can be put into the song and the “landscape of the southern island” that the listener thinks of.  Her new frontier that would have been recorded.  Because such “intentions” are consistent, listeners can immerse themselves in the timeless relaxation of “another world” without any discomfort.  This is a must-listen for those who need to relax.
